We therefore welcome feedback on everything we do: from hiring and onboarding, to how we work and communicate, and how we most effectively deliver value to our clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Tasman go-to-market strategy is built around three key pillars: Brand, Referral & Partner, and Performance. We use a balance of activities across all three to generate new leads that the Sales and Delivery teams shape into new projects and engagements. Historically this activity has been run as a collaboration with the senior team, led by the CEO. We are now looking to hire a dedicated Demand Generation Manager to take on responsibility for generating leads.

As a Demand Generation Specialist, you will work closely with the CEO and CDO to develop go-to-market strategies that connect with potential customers. You will then be responsible for translating those strategies into action, both through your own individual contribution and in coordinating inputs from across the Tasman team. Leveraging our data expertise, you’ll take an experimental approach to developing those actions to find that ones that work best for the Tasman audience. Success in the role will be to develop an approach to demand generation that delivers a stable pipeline on which we can continue to grow Tasman.

Build the Strategy

The starting point of building a stable pipeline is to have a great strategy in place. This pulls together all the information we have about our existing and past clients to create a plan for connecting to new prospects. We develop ICP frameworks that describe who our main targets are and how we need to communicate with them. As Tasman grows, we regularly refine those ICPs to identify new GTM opportunities. We have a content calendar that generates a regular stream of informative and market-making content that we use to build our audience and connect to prospects. We use Paid channels effectively to put the right message in front of targeted companies at scale.

We have also developed an extensive partner network formed of technology companies that we regularly use with our clients. We collaborate with these companies to create co-marketing plans and to target specific prospects. This channel has been an essential part of Tasman growth so far and we see a big opportunity for growing it in the future.

In summary, you will:

  • Refine our ideal target audiences and their needs, through market research and interviews with existing customers and prospects alongside the CEO.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Tasman delivery successes by working with the CDO and squads.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans that cover channel, content, and audience strategies to deliver on agreed business goals.
  • Work closely with Partners to develop GTM strategies that deliver joint prospects and new leads for Tasman.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure a strong connection between generated leads and successful opportunities.

Execute Campaigns

A critical part of the role is to be able to run and refine campaigns in all the pillars that deliver on the business goals. This requires an understanding of how each channel differs and how to optimise activity in each one. For Brand activity, you’ll run a combination of paid and organic along side SEO activity to build awareness amongst our core audiences. For Referral and Partner, you’ll create flexible campaigns that align with the specific needs of the audience including using CRM, webinars and events, along side our standard Brand channels. For performance, you’ll use a data-driven blend of campaign strategies to identify, target, and convert our most high-value leads.

In summary, you will:

  • Optimise website performance to maximise inbound traffic and conversions.
  • Use social media platforms to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Work closely with experts in Tasman to create content to educate and engage prospects using a variety of formats including white papers, case studies, and blog posts.
  • Develop webinar and event strategies that connect with audiences to build awareness and generate leads.
  • Develop lifecycle CRM campaigns that nurture prospects and turn them into leads.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns in LinkedIn and Paid Search to attract potential clients.
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure a smooth lead handoff and follow-up.

Iterate and Optimise

As an industry-leading data & analytics company, we understand first-hand the importance of using data to refine and optimise everything. We use the ideas we develop with clients to inform our own GTM strategies and vice-versa, bringing innovative ways of working back to our clients.

Providing great visibility and reporting on all our activity is a fundamental part of the role. We use this information as a team to constantly review and improve how we work. We know that as we grow both Tasman and the demand gen function that we’ll need to bring in new ways of working and data is the way that we know where to focus

We also use insights from marketing activity on a day-to-day basis to optimise campaigns and ensure we’re focused in the right areas.

In summary, you will:

  • Constantly improve campaign execution by taking on innovative strategies to optimise outcomes. Run experiments to refine and scale successful strategies.
  • Supported by our data team, track and analyse campaign performance to measure ROI and generate insights for optimisations.
  • Use industry standard tools like GA and HubSpot as well as more leading-edge internal tools to report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide regular insights and strategic reviews to the senior leadership team to inform discussion.
